AI companionship 3 min read

Looking for an AI companion you can just talk to?

A bit of company after work, a conversation about your day or someone to flirt with. Start with what you want from the chat.

The short answer

Try a conversation you would actually have on a normal evening. Listen to the voice, bring up something from your day and see whether you want to reply. A great photo is a reason to look; it is not the whole decision.

Start with a very ordinary message.

A beautiful profile tells you what a character looks like. It tells you much less about whether you will enjoy spending an evening in the chat. Before writing a whole backstory, try something you might actually say after work.

Mention the small thing that happened today. Ask about a song. Disagree about a film. Lia’s quieter style might suit that conversation. If you want more teasing, try Camila; if you like a gothic character and a more intense tone, have a look at Morgana.

An opening you could try
I had one of those days where nothing went wrong, but everything took twice as long. Keep me company while I make dinner?

Compare the things you will notice every day.

Open two profiles rather than scrolling through every thumbnail. Read the descriptions and hear the welcome messages. You may like one character’s look and another’s way of speaking. That is worth finding out before you settle in.

  • Tone: do you want teasing, a calm conversation, or a fictional adventure?
  • Voice: listen to the welcome preview before paying for audio replies.
  • Visual style: choose realistic or anime because you like it, not because one is inherently more capable.
  • Continuity: see how the character responds to a detail you bring back later. Memory can make mistakes.

Try the habit before buying the plan.

Open the profile, listen to the voice and try the starter credits. A useful trial is a few different kinds of conversation, rather than spending everything on one feature immediately.

Check the current prices, credit costs and plan terms inside Telegram. Free starter credits are not unlimited use, and a subscription should not be assumed to include unlimited text, photos or audio. Buy only if the available plan matches how you want to use the chat.

Would you open this chat again tomorrow?

A short trial gives you a better answer than a long list of features. Did the tone suit you? Was it easy to keep talking? Was there a moment you wanted to bring up again?

You do not have to find a perfect match from a thumbnail. Start with the person in the cast you are curious about and let the first conversation tell you a little more.

Take this with you

Test a normal conversation. The profile brings you in; the tone is what you will live with.
